Hello everyone! Here are some new activities for you to work on next week. 

Lecture- Reading

Below is a text about la cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris. Complete the following tasks (which we have been practicing since Sept) using the text.

Les Stratégies de Lecture :

      1.       Faire 3 Observations: write 3 observations

 J’observe que…

      2.       Faire 3 Prédictions- write 3 predictions

         Je prédis que………..parce que….

  3.       Liste de 10 mots nouveaux- find 10 new words and look them up in the dictionary and write the English word beside it.

      4.       Liste de 10 mots amis- write a list of 10 words that are very similar in English and French

      5.       Lecture- lis le texte

      6.       Liste de 10 mots clés- write a list of 10 key words

      7.       Résumé de texte- using your list of 10 key words, write a detailed summary  (5-8 sentences) and underline your key words

      8.       Faire des liens- Make 3 connections

         Cela me fait penser à ……. This reminds me of …..

         J’ai lu un autre livre où….

Écriture-Writing

Voici quelques sujets d’écriture pour le mois de mai.

Here are some new writing topics for the month of May.

1.Use the writing prompts provided over the past three weeks to write a paragraph each day. If you are not interested in any of these prompts, keep a daily journal in French, or write about anything that interests you.

En utilisant les sujets d’écriture des dernières trois semaines, écrit un paragraphe chaque jour. Si tu préfères, tu peux tenir un journal chaque jour, ou écrire à propos de ce qui vous intéresse.​ 

À l’Oral et à l’Écoute- Speaking and Listening

Here are some suggestions:

      ·         Read your French paragraph or a French book to a family member or friend using Facetime.

      ·         Facetime with a friend or talk with a family member in French.

      ·         Watch a French video from one of the links suggested over the past two weeks.

      ·         Listen to the radio in French, or if you have the OhDio app that I suggested listen to a podcast, a French book, or to French music while going outside for a           walk.

Voici quelques suggestions:

      ·         Lis tes paragraphes en français ou un livre ou texte en français à une personne dans ta famille, ou à un ami(e) en utilisant Facetime.

      ·         Parles en français avec une personne dans ta famille ou avec un(e) ami(e) sur Facetime

     ·         Regardes une vidéo de Oniva ou tou.tv en français.

     ·         Utilise le app OhDio pour écouter à un livre, la musique, ou un podcast en français.​
