Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well! I will use this website to post documents, links to videos, and suggestions of activities etc., that you can access from home. Please feel free to email me with any questions and I will do my best to contact you as soon as I can. Take care!

Here is a copy of the email I will send out to parents today:

Good Afternoon;

             I hope everyone is healthy and well. Unfortunately at this time, it does not look as though I will get the opportunity to return to the class to see your children. This is definitely a new and unique situation for everyone!

In an effort to continue to support your child’s learning, I will be updating my homework website which is linked to the Barnhill website. I have not been using this website so far this year, but will begin to add new information to it from now until June. Here is the direct link:

I understand that everyone’s situation is unique and that some of the assignments will not be completed.

If you need to speak to me or ask me any questions, you can always email me or send me your number via email if you would prefer a phone call. I will do my very best to respond in a timely manner.

Above I have attached 4 files. The first is a list of 11 word work activties with an explanation for each activity. Students can use the vocabulary from the list provided in the second attachment for these activities. The third attachment has some writing prompts that students can use to write a paragraph. I would also encourage students to share their paragraph with family or friends to continue to practice their spoken French. The last attachment is a booklet for the Spring/Easter theme, which includes a variety of activities. If students are able to print it out, great, but this is not necessary. They can use the vocabulary inside to do the above word work activities.

Here is a link to a site where students can access videos in French. They are already familiar with ONIVA, as we have watched some of these videos in class since September.    ONIVA videos

Although we will not be having a Heritage Fair at the school this year, we would suggest that students research a topic of their choice, and write up a written report. Attached are outlines to follow in English and French.
